Born in Hong Kong to a Shanghainese family and raised in the United States, Esther Sham’s multi- faceted upbringing exposed her to myriad different cuisines from an early age, but it was an early career in modeling that truly ignited her love for cooking. In 2008, Sham opened her first private kitchen Ta Pantry. Since then, Sham has continued to oversee the evolution of Ta Pantry and launched her first dining destination, Maison ES, in April 2015, a French restaurant to reflect her own personal journey which has been operating ever since.

About the outlet

Following the success of her private kitchen Ta Pantry, Chef Esther Sham opened her first fully-fledged restaurant destination Maison ES in 2015. Housed in a sun-filled, vintage-inspired venue, the 2,300 sq ft space seeks to transport guests back in time as they dine in the laid-back, garden-themed environment designed entirely by Esther herself. Seated among the hand-selected antiques and collectibles, guests are invited to indulge in a comforting yet creative menu of casual French fare.
