Owner and chef of Le Vallon, Chef Ricky Lai previously worked in three Michelin-starred restaurants around the world including Frantzén in Sweden, L’Effervescence in Tokyo and Le Petit Nice in Marseille. For Chef Ricky, the spirit of French cuisine is about using local ingredients to create regional cuisines that connect with the surrounding neighborhood – Hong Kong as his own identity. His mission is as simple as it is clear: “In these difficult times, it is important to provide new experiences for people. This drives us to create a casual dining restaurant, making fine dining more approachable for everyone who loves this experience.”

Chef Ricky combines his Asian culinary heritage with a passion for fine French cuisine in a captivating tasting menu full of sophisticated intrigue. Hidden among antique shops, our restaurant provides comfort and quiet for its guests while striving for culinary excellence. At Le Vallon, our purpose is to match the fine dining experience with a casual setting. We offer a 6-course dinner tasting menu that features fresh and local ingredients.
